Our Wave Soldering Process

Wave soldering is a cornerstone of efficient, high-yield through-hole and mixed-technology PCB assembly. Our facility utilizes a highly controlled, automated wave soldering process designed to minimize defects and maximize throughput.

Flux Application

We apply a precise, uniform layer of high-grade flux to the bottom of the PCB. This removes surface oxides and prepares the copper pads and component leads for optimal solder wetting.

The board passes through a series of thermal zones. This gradual preheating prevents thermal shock to sensitive electronic components and activates the flux, ensuring a clean, receptive surface.

 The PCB is passed over a continuous, dynamic “wave” of molten solder. Our precisely calibrated wave dynamics ensure that solder wicks perfectly up through the plated through-holes, creating strong, void-free fillets.

Finally, the assembly is cooled at a controlled rate. This solidifies the solder joints securely while preventing mechanical stress on the board and components.
